If Banning or bombing Muslims will create more terrorist did we do the wrong thing in WWII

Many on the left believe if we ban or somehow mistreat Muslims that will help terrorist by giving then just another recruitment tool.  These same people actually think that bombing or droning will only accomplish the same thing.  Damn, by that logic I suppose we should have never, never have bombed Nazi Germany in WWII.
