The trade of five Taliban commanders for one American deserter, Private Bergdahl, has certainly raised eyebrows.  Did President Obama really want the American deserter back or was he just cleaning out GITMO.  After all he did say, "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."  Hey Barack, the winds have shifted.  Guess we now know where you stand!

What has caused the sharp upturn of Gun Violence in America

SOME LIKE TO BLAME THE INCREASE IN GUN VIOLENCE ON HOLLYWOOD WHILE OTHERS POINT TO THE SPIKE IN GUN OWNERSHIP.  PERSONALLY I CAN SEE NO STATS THAT SUPPORT EITHER POSITION.  THESE GUT REACTIONS ARE JUST THAT AND BASED ALMOST ENTIRELY ON EMOTIONS.  AS I SEE IT INCREASED GUN VIOLENCE IS CAUSED PRIMARILY BY THE BREAK DOWN OF THE FAMILY UNIT AND THE LACK OF DISCIPLE IN OUR SCHOOLS.  IT'S NOT JUST YOUNG PEOPLE WHO ARE THE VICTIMS OF THIS, BUT AS THESE CHILDREN BECOME YOUNG ADULTS THE VALUES OR LACK THEREOF CARRY ON AS THEY REACH MATURITY OR SADLY ONLY GROW OLDER WITHOUT EVER GROWING UP!  THE INCREASE IN GUN VIOLENCE CAN BE TRACED BACK TO THE  FAMILY AND OUR PROGRESSIVE SCHOOLS.
