The world is seeing a sharp increase in the persecution of Christians. Not since the days of the Roman Empire have Christians around the globe faced such dangers. Danger, not just from Muslim fanatics who simple behead the male infidels and rape the young girls and women of the cross. Those are well known and documented acts by Islamic savages. But persecutions of the more stealth kind. The attempts by secular governments across the world and even here in the United States to obstruct barriers against the Christian faith and those who follow, what they view, as an antiquated belief. A belief, progressives view as a danger to their deity. A deity that is devoid of a moral compass and allows all true believers to do whatever comes natural. Seemingly, the only commandment of this new, intolerant order is to worship at the alter of Mother Earth and pay homage to the God of Global Warming. And all who refuse to recognize this entity are condemned as unbelievers and must either be eliminated or marginalized. Yes, just as the Christians of Nero's day were seen as a threat to the state, today's Christians are viewed through the same lens. But those in the western world have become much more civilized than the barbarians of ancient Rome, so they employ more humane methods in disposing of their problem---lions are a no, no! At any rate, the looming threat to those of the Christian faith is real whether from the savages of Islam or the progressive secular governments in the west. a
